    Creative Residencies

First Light Festival CIC, as part of Sizewell Creative, is producing a three-year programme of creative residencies with the aim of bringing the creative sector into the Sizewell C project. The aim of the residencies is to explore this largely under-documented part of the region’s heritage and history, through the many people who have been part of Sizewell and the effect on the area and environment – looking back to the project’s roots in the 1950s and forwards to the 2030s, to listen to and capture the many voices involved, to record change, adaptation and growth.

  • Framlingham Town Youth Challenge

This collaborative project explores the relationship between the young local residents of this vibrant East Suffolk location and their town centre, asking what makes a place relevant and attractive to a younger part of the community.

  • Kirkley Youth Voice

An exciting new project supporting young Kirkley residents aged 15- 25 to contribute to the Kirkley People’s Forum, giving them voice to express what matters to them and connecting them to opportunities, initiatives and projects.

  • Letters from the Past

A ’love letter’ to Lowestoft’s old post office, interrogating its history and opening up a conversation about its future before it is redeveloped and repurposed.

  • Gallery

Visit our gallery to watch films and see photos of all our past projects, events and initiatives.
