Creative Volunteering Opportunities
If you are creative or interested in arts and culture, the Battery of Ideas project in Lowestoft needs you!
We are looking for a team of enthusiastic, committed and friendly volunteers to support our upcoming programme of events and activities in the Battery, a temporary arts and cultural space in the heart of town.
As a volunteer you will be an essential part of our team, supporting us in all sorts of ways. We have attached some role examples from our recent programmes, but as the project grows our roles will expand too . In return, you will gain experience within a variety of creative industries that will run across different times and days across the Battery of Ideas project. We hope to provide you with an opportunity to meet new people, try new things, develop skills, gain work and life experience and be part of something unique to the East of England.
About Battery of Ideas
Led by First Light Festival CIC, the Battery of Ideas Place Partnership is an exciting new project designed to fire up ideas, enthusiasm and involvement in the new Cultural Quarter development in Lowestoft town centre, to grow public awareness and engagement in the Quarter and create a step change in creative production and cultural participation in the town.
This temporary space ‘The Battery’ will be the think tank for collaboration, co-production, discussion and planning, and an engine room for testing out activity, with making, showing and sharing, driving inclusive creative participation and engagement.
