Saturday Rewind brought a pop-up street market to Lowestoft’s high street, complete with live music and dance, jumble sale and vintage clothes stalls, and a sprinkling of local food.

Saturday Rewind
19th March 2022

MarketPlace Lowestoft was a quick turnaround and a special brief, creating a positive feel good vibe on the underused high street.

So the idea of a micro-festival began to emerge. The main focus was going to be standout live music something for all generations to enjoy.

Saturday Rewind hit London Road North with 3 outstanding local bands, DJ, street performers, vintage fashion, make and mend workshop, customised T-shirts, reuse and recycle stand, book bike and a pop up farmers market stall.

“The Saturday Rewind event was great. From the moment that the first act started on stage there was a

warm and friendly buzz. People stopped and bought books and hand made prints from the book bike and it was great to meet some old friends and new amongst the other traders and performers. A great day made all the more enjoyable by Penny Bun’s fantastic pastries! It would be great to think that events like this could be a regular feature in Lowestoft’s calendar”
