Heart of Halesworth brought street performers, musicians, creators and artists out and around the town in a buzzing celebration of Halesworth’s truly independent high street.

When meeting with Halesworth stakeholders, one aspect of their town jumped out as a vibrant source of pride- their brilliant independent high street offer.
Using this as a jumping off point, the Project co-curated an events programme that highlighted the local businesses, offering a chance for both Halesworth residents and those from further afield to (re)discover the incredible shopping offer available in this beautiful town.
A post-event survey with local business owners showed an incredibly positive response, with many commenting on increased footfall, a buzz-y atmosphere and a sense of celebration and pride in the town.
“There was a buzz about the town and the event brought lots of people into Halesworth who came in all the shops and cafes. it was brilliant, and the music, art etc. was so much fun.”
“Excellent atmosphere and footfall was fantastic. The customers were very interested and we sold lots within the shop.”

“The day was so special and although I was in the shop working and busy, I could see lots of hustle and bustle outside. Listening to the varied music and customers coming in to tell me about the lovely activities happening throughout the town - it was really nice to be part of!”
